Founded in Falun, Dalarna in 1999. Sabaton is a power metal band whose lyrics are devoted to war history, battles and historical heroism. Albums like Primo Victoria (2005), Carolus Rex (2012) and The Great War (2019) have made them one of the biggest metal bands in the world, with a dedicated YouTube history channel.
Their album Carolus Rex about Swedish king Charles XII was recorded in both English and Swedish, and became the best-selling Swedish-language album in Swedish chart history
